The dream of a film: why make a film when it is so beautiful to dream it? Érik Bullot evokes the project of a film to come based on the meeting of two curious facts: panoptic vision and the theremin.
In the 1920s, the writer Jules Romains published an essay about the extra-retinian vission, a theory that defends that it is possible to see with the skin. At the same time, León Theremin invented the theremin, an electronic musical instrument that doesn’t need physical contact from the player. Seeing with the skin and playing an instrument without any contact, constitute two unprecedented sensory modes.
With found footage, forgotten stories and strange sounds, this illustrated conference builds an imaginary, visionary and prophetic movie as an spiritual exercise.
