Etorkizuna. #4 kapitulua : Isaki Lacuesta = El futuro. Capítulo #4 : Isaki Lacuesta = The future. Chapter #4 : Isaki Lacuesta
A podcast of dialogues with directors in the process of making their next film.
PART ONE: ONE YEAR, ONE NIGHT.
Isaki Lacuesta (1975, Girona) has written and directed nine feature films, his work has been presented and awarded at countless festivals, museums and cinemas. And its record continues to grow: two Golden Shells at the San Sebastian Festival, Gaudí Awards, Silver Frames, FIPRESCI Awards, etc. Among the awards to his career, he has received the National Prize for Cinematography of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2012), the Sant Jordi Prize (2017 and 2002), and the Eloy de la Iglesia Award (2010) of the Malaga Festival.
In Tabakalera we have screened most of his works: from Entre dos aguas with live accompaniment of the musician Raül Refree, to performances where Lacuesta has shown his versatility in the management of the different artistic disciplines (from text to image, from voice to still photo, from jondo art to spoken cinema).
And now, THE FUTURE, a two-part conversation in which Isaki Lacuesta tells us about two of his new projects: Un año, una noche (One year, one night), a co-production with France about the attack at Bataclan performed by Nahuel Pérez Biscayart and Noémie Merland (Chapter 1). And El fondo del lago (The Bottom of the Lake), a mystery film produced by J. Bayonne (Chapter 2, will be published in November).
