Scanner ibiltaria : hurrengo geltokia = Scanner ibiltaria : siguiente parada = Scanner Ibiltaria: Next Station

Eskaner Ibiltaria is an itinerant project that seeks propelling citizenship participation in culture, through activities that involve books digitalization. This project’s objectives are starting-up an initiative of citizens’ technological training, spreading Tabakalera’s spirit and its main keys to understand contemporary culture.

In this walk to fulfill the previously defined objectives, we have arrived to the next station, where the activities are divided in three days:

  • 7th of July (16-00-18:00, Sukaldea)

Have a trip around Eskaner Ibiltaria: participants initiative’s presentation party. We will introduce the 9 or 10 initiatives that have been carried out in this project, so that we can set out the problems, evaluation and what participants have learned. Once we have finished that presentation, we will have a little afternoon snack.

  • 8th of July (16-00-19:00, Sukaldea)

Members of BookCamping will tell us about what they have learned in HackTheBiblion; afterwards, we will talk about the BYO bookscan and the community libraries. Jorge Campanillars, a lawyer, will also be attending this event and he will talk about the legal-framework.

  • 9th of July (16-00-19:00, Hirikilabs)Through this technical working session in Hirikilabs and together with BookCamping’s members, we will explore different models of community scanners and software or technological elements that nowadays are being developed in the community. The objective is investigating future working and developing lines that will facilitate the construction, use and management of these devices.
