Möbius eraikina = Edificio Möbius = Möbius building = Bâtiment Möbius
Until the end of 2017, this provisional building was the space to gather and unite the religions and spiritualities that can be found in the city. The event, which was open to the public, started at 18:00, with mayor Eneko Goia and the representatives of nine faiths: Islam, the Bahá’í faith, Catholic Christianity, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tibetan Buddhism, the Christian Reformed Church and Evangelicalism, Orthodox Christianity, the Evangelical Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia and Zen Buddhism. Through the practical experience of the Möbius building, the goal was to show the religious diversity that exists in San Sebastian.
The design of the building was chosen from among the eight proposals submitted by last-year students of the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the EHU in November 2015. In the process, the students talked with the members of the religious and spiritual communities of the region, in order to know their characteristics and needs first hand.
